My otterbox defender does not compare.. plus it was more expensive than the Krakken. This Case is more thin, better looking, has better overall aesthetics, and is more drop resistant than my heavy duty 50 dollar otterbox OtterBox Defender Case for Motorola DROID X MB810 - Black. bravo, Trident. One, as another reviewer mentioned, is the built in screen protector. It's a great idea, but simply unusable with Swype. I removed it and put a standard film type protector on. The more serious problem is the fact that the screen often goes black when I am attempting to make a call or hang up on one. Very frustrating. I will replace the cover with another type.
